Most garage floors just take abuse. Oil drips, tire marks, dust that never fully sweeps up - bare concrete is porous and rough, and it shows every bit of wear over time. That's exactly what we were working with here before we got started.
The process always begins with proper surface prep, and we don't skip it. We ground down the existing concrete to open up the surface, then vacuumed it clean before anything else touched the floor. That step is everything. Without it, even the best epoxy won't bond the way it needs to - and you end up with peeling and bubbling down the road.
Once the floor was prepped, we rolled on the solid color epoxy in a clean grey tone. We worked it into the edges and corners and kept the application tight and even across the whole slab. You can see the coating going down wet and shiny - that's the epoxy self-leveling and bonding into the prepared surface.
What you end up with is a floor that's genuinely easier to live with. Spills wipe right up. Dust doesn't cling the same way. The surface holds up to foot traffic, rolling loads, and everyday garage use without showing wear like bare concrete does. It just works better.
A solid color epoxy floor is one of the more practical upgrades you can do in a garage. Clean look, durable finish, and it holds up for the long haul when it's applied correctly. That's what we're always going for.
