Most garage floors just sit there - plain, porous, and a pain to keep clean. Oil drips soak right in. Dust never really goes away. And every time you park on it or work on something, the concrete just takes more abuse with nothing to show for it. That's exactly the kind of floor we were working with here before we got started.
Before a single drop of epoxy goes down, the concrete has to be properly prepared. We ran our industrial grinder across the entire slab to open up the surface - that's what gives the epoxy something real to bond to. Skip that step and you're just painting over a problem. The prep work is honestly where the job is won or lost, and we don't cut corners on it.
Once the slab was ground, cleaned, and ready, we moved into the flake epoxy installation. The color blend on this one features a warm neutral base loaded with red and cream flakes - a mix that gives the floor a ton of visual depth while still being subtle enough to work with any garage setup. The flakes also add a light texture to the surface, which helps with traction underfoot.
What you end up with is a floor that's sealed tight, easy to sweep or mop, and built to handle years of real use. Flake epoxy flooring is one of the most practical upgrades a homeowner can make - it protects the concrete, cleans up fast, and makes the whole space look sharp without a lot of effort to maintain it.
If your garage floor is overdue for an upgrade, this is the kind of work we do every day. A proper grind, a quality epoxy system, and a finish that actually lasts - that's the standard we hold ourselves to on every job.
