Metallic Epoxy Floor Upgrade at Smiley's Barbershop

We came in, prepped the entire floor, and laid down a full black metallic epoxy system. The approach here was deliberate. Dark base coat first, then the metallic layers worked in to create that deep, liquid-looking finish with natural movement and depth running through it. No two metallic epoxy floors ever look exactly the same - that's part of what makes them so sharp in a commercial space.

One detail we're really proud of on this one - we used a custom hexagon stencil directly on the wet epoxy, mirroring the honeycomb light fixture overhead. It ties the whole room together in a way that feels intentional. The floor and the ceiling are basically having a conversation. That kind of design thinking is what separates a good epoxy job from a great one.

Beyond how it looks, metallic epoxy is genuinely practical for a high-traffic shop like this. It's seamless, so there are no grout lines or seams trapping hair and product.
